Tanya Wessells
Tanya Wessells is a passionate recovery advocate, Certified Recovery Support Worker. Born in Peterborough and raised in Milford, Tanya comes from a family that has long been rooted
in the region, with deep connections across Milford, Greenville, Mason and other towns across Souhegan Valley. Her personal and professional journey has been shaped by her
commitment to helping others reclaim their lives from substance use disorder.
With over eight years of experience in the recovery field, Tanya brings a unique perspective informed by both lived experience and frontline service. She currently serves as the
Certification Assistant for the New Hampshire Partnership for Recovery Residences (NHPRR), where she works alongside providers, housing operators, and state agencies to
uphold ethical and effective standards for recovery housing. Her role emphasizes accountability, compassion, and the importance of peer-led, community-integrated support
systems.
Tanya's leadership style is collaborative and grounded in authenticity. As a mother of four, including twins and a child with complex medical needs, she understands firsthand the
resilience required to navigate recovery, motherhood, and advocacy all at once. She believes deeply in the power of community, especially in small towns like Milford, to serve as a
beacon of hope and connection for those in recovery.
She is honored to be considered for the Board of Directors of the Addiction Recovery Coalition of New Hampshire and is excited about the opportunity to give back to the
community that raised her—working toward a future where recovery is accessible, supported, and celebrated throughout the Souhegan Valley.
